How it Works: 1. When the door/window sensor or motion detector is triggered, it sounds an alarm and sends a signal to the base unit. 2. The base unit dials the first telephone number of your programmed list. 3. The person answering the call will hear a prerecorded alert message. 4. That person will have the option to listen in on the room, broadcast their voice through the base unit, or disarm the system. 5. If there is no answer, or if the person doesn't disarm the system, it will dial the next number on your programmed list. Includes 1 base unit with AC adapter, 1 Window/door sensor (wireless transmission up to 250 feet), 1 motion detector (range up to 8 yards) and 1 remote control with panic feature for arming and disarming the unit.

Keeps my mind at ease.   Review Date: May 10, 2009 Reviewer: S. Lawson, USA This does what it says. I will start with the dialing the phones part since this was my main concern when I ordered. Set is simple if you follow the directions. I place in my cell phone number, my brother in law who is a cop, and my neighbors number along with a couple of more, and this system was ringing my cell phone within a second of being set off. I then let it keep going and it dialed everyone perfect. You can turn it off via your cell phone, listen in own the system, talk via the system and it comes with a card that you can place in your wallet to help you remember the codes. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is b/c the remote control chain for my key ring broke.(not the remote, just the chain) For a unmonitored system and at less than a hundred when I bought it, this works fantastic. If you have a home with two doors, then this will work. I place the door monitor on one door, and the motion detector in the room with the other door, and both have been working for over 3 months without having to change the batteries. Like mine, just wish it came with 2 remotes but the keypad is simple enough to use. Want a nice inexpensive nonmonitored system, this should do you fantastic. Works fantastic... has a huge drawback...   Review Date: September 3, 2010 Reviewer: Love_Island_Life, This product works fantastic except for one thing... it includes a call-in feature that allows the owner to call the home and set it's functions remotely. But, if you have an answering machine, it overrides it. So, either it picks up before the answer machine does (and nobody can leave a message) or your answering machine picks up leaving you unable to access the alarm. If you have a second home line the alarm could hook up to, that would be ideal. Oh, and the alarm instructions were written by a moron. Not excellent.
